I’M AN ARTIST WITH EXPERTISE IN BOTH DIGITAL AND TRADITIONAL MEDIA.

I’ve worked on video games like Rock Band and Fortnite Festival at Harmonix and then Epic Games for more than 15 years, as a 3D Art Generalist with a focus on Gameplay/Interaction Prototypes and Environment Art/Level Design. I have expertise in managing video game art production pipelines and prototyping original IP, UX and gameplay design (especially for innovative hardware like the Kinect and Virtual Reality headsets).

     ● As a 3D Art Generalist, my experience includes 3D modeling, shaders, particle systems, level design, set dressing, UX/UI and lighting.

     ● At the Game Developer Conference (GDC), I’ve given talks and run roundtables on effective ways to give and receive feedback and I now run workshops on this topic.

     ● I’ve also delivered GDC talks on innovative ways to create gaze-reactive UI in virtual reality (VR) and integrate VR with public spaces.

I’ve used my personal projects to explore creative ways to use interactive, real-time rendering outside the context of video games. As a founding member of Secret Portal, I worked with an interdisciplinary team to create events at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston that combined virtual reality with physical spaces. In another side project called Circle, I worked with two musicians to design and prototype a zen-like, calming audio-visual experience in VR.

I’m also a recipient of the Frazier Award for Excellence in Teaching at the Rhode Island School of Design and have a long-time passion for teaching and mentoring artists. My traditional figure sculptures and drawings have been widely exhibited and featured in exhibitions at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, the Dahesh Museum, the National Sculpture Society and the Parrish Art Museum.
